Orange Blossom Tour Additions: Mediums, Mermaids and Motors

As the year draws to a close we’re finalizing our daily schedule for March’s Orange Blossom Tour, and we find ourselves getting more excited to share with you the days we have planned. Along a route that finds unexpectedly curvy roads as we wind our way along the spine of Central Florida, we’ve put together an itinerary that combines our state’s outstanding natural attractions with some out-of-this-world experiences. And we mean that last in a very literal sense.

One of our lunch stops is in the strange and spiritual hamlet of Cassadaga, founded as a Spiritualist Camp at the end of the 19th century. Spiritualist churches incorporate mediumship and spirit guides in their worship services, and over lunch in the town’s historic inn, we’ll listen as a practicing minister shares information about the faith—and, who knows, perhaps even a message from beyond.

After that we’ll look upon the fair countenances of mermaids, or at least what some historians believe are the creatures responsible for the myths, as we visit the manatees at Blue Spring State Park. This is an excellent opportunity to see the real Florida, complete with winding boardwalks through a semitropical hammock and a boat ride on the St. Johns, one of America’s most beautiful and endangered rivers.

We have much more planned, of course, including both public and never-before-seen private automobile collections. Find out more here.
